Verse: “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” — Proverbs 15:1 (NIV)
There’s beauty in gentleness. It’s not flashy or loud, but it carries the power to change hearts — starting with our own.
Think about how God speaks to us. He doesn’t shame us into obedience or yell us into repentance. His words are steady, patient, and kind. Even when He corrects, His voice is filled with love.
As moms, we’re invited to echo that same tone in our homes. When tempers flare or attitudes rise, we can bring calm instead of chaos. A gentle answer isn’t just about the words we say — it’s about the heart behind them.
When we speak softly, we open the door for the Holy Spirit to work through us. We remind our children (and ourselves) that love is stronger than anger.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to speak with gentleness today. When I feel overwhelmed or frustrated, remind me that my words carry power. Let them be words that reflect Your love — soft, steady, and full of grace. Amen.
