Who is this book for?
This book is for you if you’ve ever felt like faith was more confusing than comforting. It’s written especially for:
- Those who have been hurt, judged, or discouraged by the church
- Those who feel spiritually curious but not spiritually confident

- Those looking for a safe, honest space to explore faith at their own pace
- Anyone quietly asking, “Is it okay if I’m not sure about all this yet?”
Frequently Asked Questions
1- What inspired you to write Beginner’s Guide to God: Viewpoint from a Reluctant Christian?
This book was born out of my own messy, hesitant journey toward God. I didn’t come to faith with all the answers—I came with doubts, questions, and a lot of reluctance.
I wrote this book for people who feel unsure, intimidated, or even wounded by past experiences with faith. If you’ve ever thought:
- “I don’t know where to start.”
- “I want God, but I’m not sure about church.”
- “I’m afraid to ask my questions out loud.”
…this book grew from that same place.
It’s not about perfection or having everything figured out. It’s about taking an honest first step toward God—right where you are.
2- Do I need to be a Christian—or go to church—to read this book?
Not at all. This book is written for people who are questioning, searching, or simply curious. You don’t need a church background, a Bible degree, or even certainty about God to read it. There’s no pressure to “believe the right way.” This is a gentle, honest invitation to explore faith—without guilt, fear, or expectations.
3- What makes this book different from other Christian books?
This isn’t a book that talks at you—it walks with you. There’s no preaching, shaming, or pretending that faith is always easy. Instead, it offers real stories, simple explanations, and space to think and reflect. It’s written for people who want God but are tired of feeling judged, overwhelmed, or misunderstood by religion.
If you’re ready to explore faith in a way that brings peace, freedom, and understanding, this book is for you.
As Scripture reminds us:
“Turn away from godless chatter… and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.”
— 1 Timothy 6:20–21
