Looking for cute stocking stuffers that your kids will love? It can be hard to find affordable items that look cute, fit in a stocking, and aren’t 100% candy or chocolate. But it can be done!
Here are some stocking stuffer ideas from stores like Dollar Tree, Five Below, and PopShelf. These are great places to find fun non-candy stocking stuffers on a budget.
Fidget toys
Taking your kiddos to church service or driving to Grandma’s for a family dinner? Fidget toys will give them something to do that isn’t pulling on your shirt every five minutes! Have pre-teens or teens who are fidgety? These help them focus! Not to mention, these are very inexpensive!
Stuffed animals especially Squishmallows!
Who doesn’t love a stuffed animal? Squishmallows are all the rage! They have Christmas themes, animal themes and even food themes. Five Below has them for $6 or less so fill up on these cuties.
LED light up gadgets
Want to win the coolest parent award? Show your kiddos just how bright they make things with a fun LED light-up gadget. They’ll love using it as a flashlight when fort building or on a family walk!
Wearables
All these stores carry fun and holiday themed t-shirts, pajama sets and socks. You can get a favorite animal or a Holiday themed item. Matching items might be fun too!
Coloring Books, Craft Kits and Stickers
Just in case you don’t have enough artwork covering your fridge, a new coloring book or craft kit will bring your young artist’s creativity to life! There are many Christmas themed or other favorite themed coloring books and craft kits for just a few dollars. Pick up some fun pens and a journal as well (for you or a pre-teen).
Self-Care
Who doesn’t love a face mask or fun themed chapstick? Look for hand lotion, nail polish or bath bombs too. I actually saw Cheetos bath bombs and Ranch dressing chapstick at Five Below.
OK, and now the Candy
Okay, I still put a few candies in the stocking! There are so many fun candies out there including gummy pizzas and freeze dried candy! Just a few go a long way when the stocking has so many non candy fun things in it.
Christmas Stockings
Christmas is a time to celebrate our faith and family. As you select items to fill the stockings, think about what can bring you little moments of peace while giving them little moments of joy. Christmas stockings represent the fullness of our lives and the importance of grounding down into our feet as we draw strength from our roots (faith & family).
