There’s something special about Palm Sunday. It’s the beginning of the most powerful week in history—and yet, it starts with a donkey.
Not a parade of soldiers.
Not a royal stallion.
Just Jesus, lowly and riding in, while the crowd waves palm branches and cries “Hosanna!”
And I can’t help but think of how often we as moms are trying to do the opposite—coming in high, strong, capable, put-together. Trying to carry it all and still wave to the world like everything’s okay.
But here’s the quiet truth: the King came low on purpose.
He knew the path ahead. He knew the weight of the cross. And He still chose the humble road.
And maybe that’s the road He’s inviting us to walk too.
For the Mom Who Feels Overlooked
You’re picking up the same toys.
Answering the same questions.
Folding the same laundry.
Pouring from a cup that sometimes feels completely empty.
But can I whisper something to you right here in the middle of it?
Your low places are holy too.
Jesus meets us not just in church pews and pretty prayers, but in kitchens full of crumbs and kids with messy hearts.
Palm Branches & Everyday Praise
Those palm branches weren’t just for decoration—they were an act of honor. A spontaneous moment of praise. The people didn’t have much, but they gave what they had.
That’s motherhood, isn’t it?
You give your time, your energy, your sleep, your heart—over and over again. And even when it feels unseen, it matters.
Your daily faithfulness waves like palm branches before the King.
This Holy Week, Here’s Your Invitation:
You don’t have to be the hero.
You don’t have to get it all right.
You don’t even have to pretend to be okay.
Just be present. Be real. Be held by the One who came low for you.
Let Jesus be King in your home, especially in the chaos.
